A couple of weeks ago I set for myself a personal challenge to make the most of a set of Graphic 45 - 12 Days of Christmas papers. You can see the post
here. My goal was to make an 8x8 album and a 3x5 album, as well as at least 10 cards.
Well, I have accomplished the first part of the goal by making the two albums. The first one is actually 8 1/2 x 6 1/2. I modeled the style after
Clare's album located here. Clare does a wonderful job on her albums and I was inspired by her style of page flaps.
The album is made with black Recollections paper binding chipboard with Clare's special spine. This cover has pointsettias made from BossKut, Window from from PoppyStamps.com. I closed the book with a magnet behind the Graphic 45 chipboard piece.
Both the inside and backside covers have pockets with tags. One side of the tag is for the picture and the other is set up for journaling.

My favorite page is this one on the right. Looks like an envelope. Open the clasp to find the picture below. |
|
Inside the envelope looking page is a tri-page with side pocket, center pocket with tag and lovely paper strip on the side. |
|
This page is layered with the same paper. In the center is a tag slipped into a cutout section of the paper underneath.
That paper is actually a flap that opens to find a tag and a bookmark. |
The remaining pages - 6 in all, are pretty much the same with varying types of flaps, pockets and belly bands.
|
A big tag hidden behind a cut apart on the left and a pocket and top flap on the right. |
|
Belly band on the left and fold-out flap on the right. |
Well, that was the larger album. The smaller one is only 5 1/2 by 4 1/2. Every page has a tag for a picture and journaling as well as a pocket. This album is for the Christmas charity auction at work.

Cover with a little Stickle sparkle added. |

All the pages have a tag for journaling and a picture |

Well, there is part of my challenge met - two albums. I will be back in another week or so with the 10 cards (hope there is enough paper!).
Gotta enter a challenge or two:
Have a Great Day!
