Let Your Light Shine - Craft a Scene


This week at Craft a Scene the challenge is to let our light shine with a creation that contains a lighthouse.  We also need to tell everyone how our project is shining our light.

 My project this week is a bookmark for my daughter-in-law.  Her birthday just passed and this is for her to mark her spot in her reading.  

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with Momento black ink.  I used Ranger Distress markers to lightly color the main areas and then used my paintbrush and water to smooth out the color.

Paper: SU Early Espresso, Strathmoore watercolor paper
Markers/Ink: Ranger Distress pens
Embellishments: Spellbinders bookmark die, various string and ribbon from my stash
