Craft a Scene Realistic Forest Animals - Final Week

Over at Craft a Scene there is one more week to get your "realistic forest animals" card in the challenge.  I made another one that actually has been sitting on my table for over a year.  I made this scene at the Savanna Retreat last year with Sutter Stamps that the gals had to share.

Christmas is June!

It may not be Christmas time yet but it is time to get started on my holiday cards.  Digital Delights has some great holiday images and winter backgrounds that go together very easy and makes up into a quick and cute card.

I colored the Winter Backgroundwith PanPastels, Copics and liberal amounts of Stickles. Next I colored and cut out the Just Chillin Bear and popped him into the centre of the scene.

Happy July 4th!

I thought this new little Roxie from Digital Delights would make a great 4th of July card to send to my brother in California.  On the Independence Day holiday our family typically holds a big family reunion at a park or lake.  I remember long ago when one of the Uncles would get out the hand crank ice cream maker and make fresh ice cream for all us kids.

Embellishments: Spellbinders dies, BoBunny gems, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Tim Holtz flourish die

Craft a Scene Theme - Realistic Forest Animals

Hi all!  It is Sunday again and I am here with my card for the new theme over a Craft a Scene - Realistic Forest Animals.  We are making scenic cards with a bit of forest and at least one animal found in the forest.

My animal is the brown bear and we have lots of them here on Vancouver Island.  I saw one cross the road a few weeks ago just as I drove past he sauntered across the highway behind me.

I used Stampscapes images for most of the scene and Mark's Finest Papers for the bear and sentiment.

Card Recipe

Paper: Cryogen White, Kraft Black, Whisper White
Markers/Ink: Momento Black, PanPastels, a little Copic highlighting
