The February theme for Craft a Scene is to use your favorite technique. Well, I like so many techniques that I decided to try one that was new to me.
My fellow DT Pia likes to stamp on photographs and she does a beautiful job. I picked out a selection of photo prints while at the Savanna scenic stamping retreat a couple years ago, but I never had a chance to use them. So today is the day!
My photograph is sky, a bit of mountain range and water. The nice thing about this photo is that it is very neutral and can be used for almost anything that is winterish. I am ignoring the fact that the photo is of water and choosing to pretend that it is snowy instead.
First I stamped the farm scene (came with the barn and a few cows), then I added the fence and horses. The scene still seemed a little bare so I added the trees, birds and branches. I only added a little bit of color to the barn, cows and grass. It is winter after all!

beautiful!
Great card and thks for joining us over at One Crazy Stamper!!
You have put in so much work into this great project. I hope it is all appreciated by the recipient. Thanks for your visit tonight, Nancy. I am as guilty as anyone of having loads of stash, loads and load of glorious Clarity stamps for one, but I have learned from watching Barbara Gray that you can create lots of different moods with very little. She showed one card this week on the TV which used only one small bunny. The rest was created much in the same way as on my card. Glad you liked my offering anyway, and hope that my emphasis on the rules might strike a note for anyone who looks at it. xx Maggie
Beautiful card, i haven't worked up the nerve to try my stampscapes set yet. great job. thanks for playing along with us at The Drunken Stampers for the ATG challenge.
Love this technique, Nancy, and you really turned the water to snow by adding the trees. Fabulous! We're truly honored that you chose to play along in our challenge at Scribble & Scrap this week. Good luck in the draw.
