May Today Be Filled With Many Happy Moments

My card today is really pink and frilly! My favorite!

Our challenge over at Love to Create is to make your own flowers. I used Sizzix flower die cut on a plain pink and a swiss dots pink card stock.  I curled the petals a bit on my quilling tool and then wound the flowers around the tool.  I added a pearl to the center of each flower.

Card Recipe:

You Are Simply the Best Horse

A friend of mine rescued a horse recently from a farm that had neglected their animals.  The local authorities picked up the animals and then called farms and horse owners in the area to see if someone wanted to nurse this nag back to health.

Well, my friend Sue took up the challenge and bathed, fed and loved this horse until he was fat and happy again.  The horses name you ask - Lucky.

My card for Craft a Scene is a take on Lucky happy in his new home.  The stamps are from Heartfelt Creations and the die to cut around the horse image is from Spellbinders.

This is a tent card with the scene attached to the back portion of the card.  Lucky is free and attached to the sentiment.  You can see that the sentiment is slipped behind a portion of the fence to keep it in place.  The happy recipient of this card can move Lucky in and out of his stable.

I used PanPastels to color the background and Copics to color the barn.

Card Recipe:
Images: Heartfelt Creations Palisade Farmstead and Western Bronco
Paper: Stampin Up
Inks: PanPastels, Copics - R39, R37, E13, E15, E17, E18, E19, E35, Momento Black, Distress Green around the tree
Embellishments: Spellbinders Western Broncos and Label Six, Cottage Cutz Rustic Sign and Trees, Die-Namics Fence, Boot charm from Wild Orchid, Prima Pearls, Twine

Craft a Scene - The Great Outdoors

The theme over at Craft a Scene this month is "The Great Outdoors" so I made a scene about camping in the woods, in sight of great big mountains.

I love camping with my family, hiking around and swimming in whatever water we can find.  The smell of pines and dirt just draw me back to my childhood and FUN!
