Bling It Up with Creative Craft Challenges


Hi all!  Today my card is for Creative Craft Challenges and we are laying on the Bling!  I added Stickles to my handmade flower and Spica sparkle to Tilda's dress.

Live in the Present!


As we enter the new year most of us take stock of the recent past and sometimes make new year's resolutions.  My resolution is to "live in the present" as much as possible. 


I love this Just Right sentiment and it goes well with my resolution and this scenic card.

I started my scene by stamping Tilda - Key Largo and then masked her for the rest of the scene development.  I added Sutter stamps water G795, Art Impressions psalms, Coronado Island sailboat, and Stampscapes 302A Gulls.

Mountain Maggie


Majestic Mountains is the theme this month over at Craft a Scene and this is the third week of the challenge.

I have had this scene rolling around my brain for some time and I finally had a chance to get it out!  This Magnolia Tilda is perfect for tip toeing through the creek coming off my majestic mountains. I do think, however, that the water may be a bit cold!

Most of the stamps are Stampscapes with one Sutter (the grassy brook) and of course Tilda. The rocks at the bottom around Tilda are Art Impressions.

Bike Ride Anyone?

Little Tilda has been playing outside all day, riding her bicycle and visiting friends.  Well, that is what I would like to think anyway.  In my heart it is time for spring and a bike ride would be just the thing to convince my body that there might actually be a spring in my near future.


I have some new spring papers, new Tilda stamps and a wonderful Mojo Monday sketch to use today.


I turned the sketch on its side because it gives me more room for the flourish and sentiment at the bottom. I also drew in a bit of sidewalk that I colored with C1 and C3.

On the weekend I was looking around blogland and came across some Copic coloring videos by Zoe from Make It Crafty.  She shows how to add in the pleats and wrinkles that we see in our clothing in real life, but they might not be drawn into the stamp.  It was tough to make the transition from the way I usually color to thinking about light and shadows and wrinkles.  It was worth it though, because the pants do look wrinkled.  I don't think the blouse came out the way I wanted it, but there is fun in learning and making mistakes.

Creative Craft Challenges Color Inspiration

Today is my first day on a new design team - Creative Craft Challenges!

All Hearts Come Home for Christmas with Paper Cutz

The new Paper Cutz challenge this week is "All Hearts Come Home For Christmas."  Make your project this week with a heart.


For my card I used a new Christmas Tilda with a heart from the Sweet Christmas Dreams collection.  I also modeled the design after the Mojo Monday sketch.

Tilda Wishes You Sweet Christmas Dreams

Today I made a card for several Magnolia blog challenges.  I needed to include ribbon, a button, red and white, Christmas themed and follow a sketch in order to qualify for the various challenges.




This card was a lot of fun to make with all its various elements.  It was a challenge to make it look reasonable, but I was able to fit it all in.

Tilda is a Lovely Christmas Angel

My card today features Tilda as a Christmas angel, and an angel she is in her lovely green gown.  I sparkled her wings, halo and star wand with a sparkly gel pen.  I am also using my new Joy Tree stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Back in September I won a gift certificate from Stamping Sisters in Christ to the ODBD store and this is one of the stamps I purchased.

I decided that it had been too long since I made an easel card and these images lent themselves nicely to this classic card shape.

You can't see it in this picture, but I added the sparkly gel pen to the large words for maximum emphasis.

Tilda is Ready to Trick or Treat

My card today is using this cute little Indian (Native in Canada) Tilda dressed and ready to go Trick or Treating on Halloween night.


I made the background for her using Art Impressions stamps - Barn Window, Hay Bail and Birds. I had to finish off the barn by drawing in some lines to simulate the boards and I added a little green for the ground around the barn.

I also added a bit of cheese cloth to one side.  I see all the Magnolia blogs using cheese cloth so I thought I would try it too.  White was not quite right for this card so I used a bit of Distress Tea Dye, Aged Mahogany, and Brushed Corduroy to give it some color.

Make Mine Mexico

I am so excited to mention that one of my projects has been featured over at Make It Monday.  This blog is a wonderful place to add any project you might be posting.  There are no restrictions!  It's a good place for exposure and all you need to do is comment on one or more of the other fine entries.

Well, my card today with swimming Tilda makes me think of our vacation earlier this year to Mexico.  We went snorkeling and beach walking and enjoyed the sunsets. It was very relaxing.

Mojo Monday with a Lemony Tilda

Today I am following the Mojo Monday challenge with a lovely lemony yellow colored Tilda.  I had a little trouble with this card as I wanted to use the lemon paper along with the watermelon paper.  I also thought the clear division in the watermelon paper would work for the challenge because it shows two base papers one at the top and one at the bottom.  Check out the Mojo Monday Challenge!
