Santa Needs Little Helpers This Year

Join us this week over at Delightful Challenges for our
RED and GREEN challenge.

Poppet the Fairy is Santa's Little Helper today.  He is touching this scene with a dusting of sparkly snow for the holidays. If I could add motion capture techniques to my card I would have two scenes. One with a plain tree and one with a decorated tree so that Poppet could wave his magic wand and make the change.

Stamps: Digital Delights Poppet the Fairy, Window Background Set
Paper: Whisper White, Sharon Anne's Magic Christmas Collection
Markers/Inks: Copics - G17, G14, R37, R39, Y08, Y06, B00, E13, E00, E01, R20

Sweet Magnolia Family Christmas

Trimming the tree in our house is definitely a family affair. We like to set out all the ornaments, dad or one of our sons will hang the lights and then everyone pitches in adding ornaments until the family is satisfied that the tree is full of all our decorating personality.

I created this Magnolia scene as kinda my homage to those bi-gone days. The kids are all older now, three of them are married and two have children of their own.  I think I might need to change up the Christmas decorating and ask all the grand kids over for a decorating party and start a new tradition.

This cute little Tilda is like my daughter, Liz. she is colored with Copics V04, V06, B0000, E01, E02, E15, E19, E35, White gel pen, and yellow and pink Spica pens.
Edwin is like my youngest son, Phillip. Always helpful and tall enough to add the star at the top of the tree. Edwin is colored with Copics - E01, E02, G17, G14, B05, B06, C1, C3, C7, E15, E19, E35, White gel pen and several colors of Spic sparkly pens.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia Edwin with Lights, Tilda with Present, Garland Tilda, Digital Delights tree from Christmas Accessories Set
Paper: Very Vanilla, Graphic 45 Christmas Past collection
Markers/Inks: Distress Tea Dye, Copics - listed with each Character
Embellishments: Paper pieced tree, Hero Arts flower pieces, Michael's brads, Stickles on Tilda's dress, Really Reasonable Ribbon tied with the Bow easy, Baby Buttons from Michael's, Spellbinders Holly Accents, Tim Holtz flourish die, Sparkly twine, Wild Orchard flower, Bo Bunny sentiment charm, Prima Pearls, Lovely lace

This little Tilda with a gift is like mom and dad who add all the Christmas presents after the tree has been setup. She is colored with Copics - R37, R39, Y06, Y08, B05, Stickles, C1, C3, C5, C7, E15, E19, E35, White gel pen

Challenges for this Stair Step card:

Well that's it for today.  Have a wonderful evening.
