Look Deep Into Nature

I have a number of Beewax and Stampscapes images that have been waiting on my work table for me to have time to create.  I finally found a little time and made this garden scene for the Craft a Scene challenge.

I stamped the scene on Cyrogen Cardstock that I purchased from Peddlers Den at the Savannah retreat in May.  This paper is amazing!  I colored the foreground image with Copics and then added PanPastels to the background mountains and sky.

Card Recipe:
Images: Beewax garden, Stampscapes mountain (actually originally purchased from A Stamp In The Hand), Sentiment from Stampscapes sentiment collection
Paper: SU Very Vanilla, EK Success Nature Dragonfly (the dragonflies are raised and sparkly), Early Espresso
Ink: Copics - G05, G09, G14, YR00, YG97, YG95, YG93, E01, E02, E15, E17, E21, E23, E31, E37, YR14, YR01, YR000, PanPastels
Embellishments: Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangle, Prima Pearls

Happy Birthday Little Lady

My card this week for Digital Delights features the new Tree Background image and our little Briley with a Lonely Pup.  Combining these images seemed like a natural fit for our wonderful summer weather and a simple girls birthday card.

My little grand daughter, Lily, has a birthday coming up and she loves dogs!  She especially loves my Sasha, a Yorkshire Terrier.

Our Mechanic Gary Says So-Long

One of our friends and co-workers at our OK Tire shop is leaving us to teach in Ontario.  He is in the Canadian Military and he thinks this might be his last posting before he retires.  He wants to come back to the Comox Valley when he finally finishes his tours.  I made this card for the guys at the shop to sign and give at his farewell party.

I had to work in a little yellow because the OK Tire colors are black, grey and yellow.  Gary always wears black!!
