Down on the Horse Farm

The theme at Craft a Scene is "Down on the Farm" and you can make it any kind of farm that you want.  I decided this time I would make a horse farm.

I used a great Heartfelt Creations mountain/barn combination stamp to get me started and then add the horses from Sutter and Heartfelt Creations.  The branches and birds are Stampscapes.

Singing Sally

Do you watch American Idol?  Well, a girlfriend of mine got me hooked a few years ago and now I can't miss an episode.  I really enjoy seeing how the singers develop over the course of the show.

The new Notable Music collection over at Digital Delights has provided me a set of cute performers that I can use for almost any card.  This one is going to my Idol girlfriend.

I have this great paper from Fancy Pants Designs that has stars on it and it is perfect for my star, Sally.

Paper: Whisper White, Bazzill red, Fancy Pants Designs - To the Moon
Markers/Ink: Copics, Distress Fired Brick

Battle of the Bands

One of the things I remember fondly from my High School days is going to the Battle of the Bands.  I think every community must put one of these on at least once.  Well, my card this week features another one of Wendy's great new images from the Noteable Music collection.

I made a centre step card and used the Noteable paper for accent panels.  The accessories stage was perfect as a backdrop to my drummer!

Card Recipe
Paper: Bazzill blue, Noteable paper pack
Markers/Ink: Copics, Distress Fired Brick
Embellishments: Spellbinders dies,

Down on the Farm at Craft a Scene

What a great theme Craft a Scene has going on now - Down on the Farm.  I love making scenes!  I found that I didn't have many stamps to depict a farm except the Sutter barn and a few Stampscapes cow stamps.  So I decided to create my farm just like the ones I see up and down Vancouver Island - mostly milking cows.

I started with the 146F Crooked Path and then add my Sutter barn.  Next I layered on a couple of 278F Soft Hill.  I masked off the parts I didn't want stamped over.

I added the two fences (293C and 289D) and then fit as many cows (154B, 157A,172A) in as I could.  I don't know why I added the mountains (211A) last as I usually start with them. We have a few on the island that look just like this stamp!

    Let's Make a Band!

My card this week features one of the new images from Digital Delights Music series - Guitar Maycee.

This cute little fellow reminds me of my very first guitar that I bought at a second hand store.  I tried to teach myself how to play from a book, but it didn't go very well.

      Just For You!

It would be so nice to sit back and relax on a hammock in the sun such as our little Bee friend here.  Well you can relax with Digital Delights because Wendy has all the images you need to make all kinds of cards and projects.

I didn't have an daisy's to go with this card so I punched a few petals out with EK Success Retro Flower and added a little EK Success flower in yellow to the centre.  I wet them with a spray bottle so that I could shape them a bit.
