This time I wanted to try a technique that I have seen others use for a night scenes where everything is mostly black with just a little light shining through.
I stamped the moon where I wanted it and then inked up just the right side and stamped it to fill in the black space in the sky. I don't have any other cloud stamps that would work and I needed more clouds. Then I stamped the Rocky Creek and started tapping in the Stonewashed Blue making sure to leave the center section without any ink.
I let that dry a bit and then started in on the black. This was the toughest part for me. I wasn't sure how dark to make everything? Anyway, I need to practice some more.

Hi Nancy! WOW!
I love how you have created the 'glow' of the moon here. I have to try this 'mainly black' technique- being my favourite colour, it should be right up my street,:).

Isn't it great when your craft order comes in? You immediately want to start playing with your goodies!!!
Your technique here is really striking, the starkness of the black and white really make it pop. I think it works wonderfully and adds an air of mystery and intrigue, as well as that subtle elegance of nature.
Thank you so much for sharing this creativity with us at Opus Gluei!
Beautiful, Nancy. I think you did a fabulous job at a new technique. It is scary adding black but it really makes the scene more dramatic. Darkening the edges helps to draw your eye into the scene.
Wowwwww Nancy this is spectacular, I am in awe of anyone who can create such a magical, realistic scene as you have done here, I have always admired these stamps and I must say you have done an excellent job with these, superb work.
