Be Strong in the Lord!

Our theme this month over at Craft a Scene is "Under the Sea"! I actually made a card with crayon wax and an iron.  I learned the encaustic technique at the Savanna Retreat last year from Barb.  She actually helped me create this one.

The image is stamped on glossy paper.  I melted wax onto the hot iron and then with the "flick of the wrist" gently applied a swoth of color.  How you hold the iron and the flicking motion can make a difference in the final look.

Card Recipe
Images: , Our Daily Bread sentiment
Paper: Glossy White, Glossy Black, Bazzell,
Markers/Ink: Momento Black, crayon wax
Embellishments: Prima Pearls, Spellbinders die

Challenges for this card:
Be sure and take a look at what the wonderful Craft a Scene design team has come up with for your inspiration.

Have a Great Sunday!

Quite stunning Nancy, I've always been fascinated by encaustic art but never tried it.
